A tip and a search warrant has landed three people behind bars after detectives found drugs, cash, synthetic urine and stolen guns inside a Guthrie apartment.
Last Thursday, the Guthrie Police Department received a tip that a person inside an apartment had an outstanding warrant on a burglary charge in Oklahoma County and was believed to be carrying a firearm.
As the detectives approached the apartment door inside the Pleasant Hills Apartments they were met by Lucus Cullum, 19, whom was the suspect in question. While at the door, Detective Mark Bruning said he could smell “a very strong odor of fresh marijuana.”
Once inside the apartment, detectives contacted 18-year-old Diana Barnes, 19-year-old Chase Pfeifer and a 17-year-old juvenile.
During conversations, Detective Jason Hamilton spotted a double barrel shotgun in the corner of the room.
Following a search warrant of the apartment, a total of 218.8 grams of marijuana was found along with $450 in various bills.
In addition to drug scales, synthetic urine and paraphernalia, detectives found a total of five firearms, including a 9mm pistol with a holster and two loaded magazines, a side coach double barrel shotgun, a .22 caliber pistol with a loaded magazine, a Pardner 12-gauge pump shotgun and a loaded RG .22 caliber revolver, which was found in Cullum’s waist band.
Following a search of the weapons, detectives discovered the 12-gauge shotguns and the 9mm pistol were reported stolen from a home burglary in southern Logan County.
After being read his Miranda rights, Pfeifer reportedly told detectives he and Cullum were selling drugs and that Barnes knew drugs were being sold out of the residence. Pfeifer went on to say that he and Cullum traded drugs and money for the stolen guns in the last week.
Barnes, who leases the apartment, during a conversation with Det. Bruning was asked how Pfeifer and Cullum made money. She responded by telling Bruning that he “didn’t want to know.” She also admitted to receiving money from both male suspects.
Formal charges were filed on Monday in Logan County.
Cullum (pictured right) was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Pfeifer (pictured left) was charged with the same three charges along with possession of proceeds known to be derived from violation of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Act.
Barnes was charged with maintaining a house where drugs are kept, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cullum and Pfeifer were each given $10,000 bonds, while Barnes posted a $7,500 bond.
