One person was taken into custody Monday evening following a two-vehicle crash on Guthrie’s east side.
Just before 6 p.m. Guthrie EMS and police responded to Pine St. and Grant Ave. for an unknown injury collision.
Police found a white truck and a white car crashed in a residential yard next to a Ditch Witch boring machine.
According to witnesses at the scene, the truck was eastbound on Grant and failed to stop at the stop sign at Pine St. and crashed into the car which was going north on Pine St.
The initial impact sent the vehicles across the roadway, into the yard, and the truck into the boring machine.
The driver of the truck was arrested at the scene for suspected driving under the influence.
One witness said the driver told them “It was my fault.”
One of the three passengers in the car was transported to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City for treatment.
The roadway was blocked for several minutes for the roadway to be cleared and vehicles towed.
