It’s being called a senseless crime and now the Guthrie Police Department and a local business is searching for answers. A reward has been established for information leading to arrests.
Sometime between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday an unknown person(s) vandalized or damaged 30 tires on 15 vehicles on the east side of Guthrie. The affected area was between Poplar St. and Cedar St. and Warner Ave. and Oklahoma Ave.
The suspect(s) appeared to have used a knife to puncture the tires.
Several of the tires slashed occurred at Companion Health Care. Now, they are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s).
Sgt. Jeremy Thorne with the Guthrie Police Department says all tips will remain anonymous.
“We hope to catch the suspects in this senseless crime quickly to help those who are now out several thousand dollars to replace their tires,” Sgt. Thorne said.
Sgt. Thorne says all victims, including homeowners, have been located, but says if anyone discovers their tires have been slashed you’re encouraged to report the crime.
