This past week the Crescent and Guthrie SWAT teams were trained on and conducted Tobacco Stings. Sixteen different stores throughout Logan County were targeted. We are proud to say that the Logan County retail community is a strong supporter of No Minor Issue (No Sale to Minors).

None of the sixteen stores sold to a minor. Store owners and clerks are doing their part to reduce tobacco sales among our youth in Logan County.

Project S.T.U.N.! (Stop Tobacco Use Now) and the Logan County Coalition would like to thank the Guthrie Public Library for hosting the training for the teams that participated and our Adult Partners: Kelly Varner, RN and Mkwai Williams (Crescent Junior High Adult Partners) and Bryan Dearing and Lindsey Surrett (Guthrie Junior High Adult Partners). We also would like to thank coalition member, Tammy Gantz, Director, PreventionWorkz RPC who conduct the tobacco sting training.
