The Dominion House makes donation to Christmas with a Cop program

The Christmas with a Cop program continues to gain momentum through the Guthrie Police Department. The program received a big boost from The Dominion House on Thursday with a donation.

Julie Ayers with The Dominion House presented a $2,500 donation to Lt. Dexter Pugh, Officer Jason Hamilton, Officer Filemon Vasquez and Officer Erik Lamb on the front steps of the Dominion property. The donation will help local children have a memorable holiday season.

“We know this is a worthy cause for our community and we are happy to help children during this holiday season,” Trey Ayers said.

On Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m., the officers will shop and spend time getting to know the children who were selected to participate. This event is to provide a merrier Christmas and allow the children to spend time with law enforcement officers in a positive setting.

The police department is always accepting donations, which are used exclusively for the Christmas with Cops program. You can donate anytime by calling the Guthrie Police Department, Oklahoma at (405) 282-3535 or stopping by dispatch located at 306 W. Oklahoma Ave.
