Trash service delayed due to weather, mechanical issues

Trash services for Guthrie residents will be delayed this week due to Monday’s icy conditions and mechanical issues with Waste Connections trucks.

On Tuesday, Waste Connection’s Tom Michael said Monday’s route has not been completed, but are hopeful to finish on Tuesday leaving the rest of the week at least one day behind.

Michael tells customers they should continue to leave their trash out by the street for pickup.

“Trucks don’t like the cold either,” a spokesperson said. “Apologies in advance to everyone. Stay warm.”
