A traffic stop led to more than a Guthrie police officer was expecting last week.
The officer pulled a vehicle over near 16th and Warner. During the traffic stop, it was discovered that none of the three occupants had a valid driver’s license.
While the Sergeant was impounding the vehicle, a large quantity of methamphetamine was discovered under the center console. Upon further search of the vehicle, approximately 160 grams of methamphetamine were seized, along with paraphernalia used for distribution.
The three occupants Matthew Whiddon, 42, John Thomas, 41, and Janelle Lynch, 39, were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
Thomas and Lynch were given a $7,500 bond, while Whiddon was set with a $15,000 bond.
All three were assigned to a July 27 court hearing.
