It was a well-kept secret, but for several hours on Thursday Guthrie was the working grounds for an actor who played in the Twilight Saga.
A movie production company was in town to film a faith-based drama short film starring Booboo Stewart.
From 2004 to 2010, Stewart did a number of acting roles in both TV and film. His breakthrough role came when he was cast as Seth Clearwater in the third installment of The Twilight Saga.
Stewart, 18, toured with two of his sisters, Maegan Stewart and Fivel Stewart, when he was in a band ‘Echoes of Angels’. As well as being able to sing, he can also dance. In 2004, he appeared in Eminem’s ‘Just Lose It’ video and, in 2007, toured with Miley Cyrus during her Best of Both Worlds Tour.
The family film tells the story of a high school track star who has lost his way. Through the counseling of his father and the downward spiral of those around him, he comes to terms with accepting how to use his gifts, encouraging those around him, and appreciating those who love him.
Filming took place in Guthrie’s Cottonwood Flats before moving to a home at the intersection of 14th and Logan. The movie
