Two people were arrested last month as they were caught inside a residence after it was reported the home was being burglarized. Both suspects are well-known to the police.
On July 24, Guthrie police responded to a residence where the alleged burglary had taken place. Upon arrival, officers found a female leaving the back door. Moments later, a male was found hiding in a bedroom, according to police.
Deward Burrows, 42, was charged the following day inside the Logan County Courthouse with a felon in possession of a firearm, breaking and entering, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana).
He was given a $25,000 bond and a court date of Aug. 24 at 9 a.m.
Burrows has pleaded guilty to several felonies in Logan County, including, in part, domestic abuse, arson, concealing stolen property, child abuse, and grand larceny, according to online records.
As of Thursday evening, Burrows remained behind bars at the Logan County Detention Center.
The female is identified as 42-year-old Brandi McDonald.
She was charged with a misdemeanor breaking and entering and given a $2,000 bond.
