Guthrie Police Chief Damon Devereaux introduced two new promotions within the department to the Guthrie City Council on Tuesday evening.
Devereaux introduced Bryan Crumb, who advanced from officer to Sergeant, and Mike Loya, who advances from Sergeant to Lieutenant. Both were promoted with ceremonies on Friday.
Crumb started with the department as a police explorer before moving on to dispatch. Crumb then made the move to an officer and has spent time in investigations as a detective.
Loya, who has been with the force for 10 years now, came to Guthrie with 23 years experience in the military. Loya also heads up the Logan County SWAT team.
