United Way Kickoff celebration is just about here

Thursday, September 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Guthrie American Legion Hall will come alive as the United Way of Logan County kicks off its 2012 Campaign with a special “Thank You Luncheon”.

The Kickoff Committee members:  Julie Royal, Laura Meyer, Vicky Tinsley, Whitney Moss and Jamie Newton, have been hard at work getting everything ready for this year’s event.

Hot Dogs, hamburgers and all the trimmings will be provided free to all attending. Guest celebrities will be serving up the food with unique flair and there will be special entertainment to get the campaign off with just the right spirit.

D.W. Converse, Pacesetter Chair, will release the amount already raised by the 10 organizations involved in the “precampaign campaign” and LaVerne Dowding, Campaign Chair, will help unveil the campaign goal for 2012.

Rachel Mueller, United Way of Logan County Coordinator said, “We are so excited about this year’s campaign.  The Kickoff Committee is full of energy and ideas and is ready to put on a “special show” that will entertain and motivate everyone. The Kickoff serves as a way to introduce our campaign’s financial goal, highlight the 10 partner agencies which provide services to those in need and gives us an opportunity to say thank you to the many wonderful people who invest in our county by contributing to the United Way!”
