Update: Man pleads guilty to second degree rape

The man accused of raping a teenager in Logan County has pleaded guilty and with good behavior will spend five years in jail.

Mario Hernandez pleaded guilty last November to second degree rape inside a Logan County courtroom.

Hernandez was sentenced to serve a term of 10 years with the last five years suspended upon good behavior, register as a sex offender after being released and ordered to pay fines and court costs.

A man wanted for rape of a teenager in Logan County has been caught in Texas. Officials believe there may be more victims.

According to the Crescent Police Department, 23-year-old Mario Hernandez is a suspect in the rape of a 15-year-old.

A warrant ($45,000) for Hernandez’s arrest was made June 2 for second degree rape.

He was arrested near Austin, Texas following a traffic stop.

“We have learned in our investigation that there are possibly several other victims in Oklahoma and in Texas,” a Crescent police official said.

Hernandez is awaiting extradition and will be held in the Logan County jail.

According to court records, Hernandez has multiple alias, including Mario Cardoba, Mario Guerra and Mario Guerra-Hernadez.

“If you recognize this man and have any other information please contact the Crescent Police Department or OSBI,” a Crescent police spokesman said.
