Vehicle, trailer collide at busy intersection

Luckily there were no serious injuries Saturday morning at a well-known intersection.

Emergency crews responded to Highway 33 and Highway 105 for a two vehicle accident just after 8 a.m.

According to sources at the scene, a truck carrying a trailer was attempting to pull out on Highway 33 from Highway 105 when it failed to yield to a silver car who was eastbound on Highway 33.

The car attempted to miss the truck but instead struck the trailer.

The impact disconnected the trailer from the truck and the car to go off on the shoulder — just missing a light pole.

A Sooner Fire Department first responder was driving by at the time of the accident and assisted until emergency personnel could arrive.

Guthrie EMS treated one person from the car at the scene. A female and child in the car and two people in the truck did not suffer any injuries.
