A surveillance tape has surfaced of one person responsible for a recent rash of vehicle burglaries in the Guthrie area. Police suspect there could be more.

Several vehicles have been hit by the burglars in recent weeks and are breaking into vehicles that are kept unlocked.

A video was published to YouTube from a residences home on Mockingbird Road in hopes of someone recognizing the person. See video below.

A white male, who appears to be a teenager, is seen walking between two vehicles parked in a drive way Wednesday morning at 4:58 a.m. However, the burglar was coming back for his second robbery after striking the same residence at 4:37 a.m. This is why people may want to consider hiring a Locksmith Elwood have to offer to help change the locks on their properties, as well as to make sure their vehicles and homes are secured.

Not seen in the camera angle is a third car to the left where the burglar made off with a purse and tote bag. According to the homeowner, the items were found in the neighborhood in a secluded area later that day when conducting a search. Missing from the items was $1050 that was being saved for a Girl Scout trip to Savannah, GA this summer.

In the video, the suspect’s behavior suggests he saw the resident’s camera placement as he hikes his shirt over his head.

The Guthrie Police Department shared their message via social media, “we know the burglars are on foot as well as mobile in a vehicle. So if you see vehicles or people on foot that you don’t normally see in your neighborhood please call the PD or the Sheriffs office.”

The police department is warning all citizens to lock their vehicles, and encouraging residents to install an outside home camera system to try and deter burglars.

“We would again like to remind residence of Guthrie as well as Logan County to lock your vehicles and or take all items of value into your home.” Residents could also use the services of local Professional Locksmiths to keep property secure and loved ones safe.

If you have any information on the person you see in this video or information regarding these crimes you are urged to call the Guthrie Police Department at (405) 282-3535.

  1. I find it interesting that he covers his head…after being seen face front on camera. Surely he knows everyone is questioning if he has a case of crabs after that video stream. Then, he covers his head because he obviously saw the camera. Stealing is stupid. This thief got an extra dose of dumb. If it wasn’t so criminal, it would be funny. This should be on that show, worlds dumbest criminals. Geesh!

I also liked his crotch itch! baha! These kids are all in my grade. It’s embarrassing to see these people and actually know them! It also does not surprise me! The girl, Amanda Polly, her mom was a dispatcher at the PD! Her mother should be SO proud! Ridiculous.

  2. Too funny Tonya! Stealing is stupid – but even more stupid are the people who are leaving valuables like $1050 or whatever in their cars! C’mon – for real? If they find him – they better find out if he has any girlfriends or boyfriends that might have a mysterious itch too. LOL

  3. I think it is Beavis!!! I am Cornholio!!! hahaha

  4. I wonder if “Mr. Itchy Pants” Is the one who took my daughter’s purse from her car. She only had $30 stolen but its still irritating that the little jerk was in her car and pawing thru her purse while she was sick in bed. (Reason behind her forgetting to lock up). I hope they get an ID on him.
