The Guthrie Board of Education introduced Dr. Mike Simpson as their next Superintendent of Guthrie Public Schools in a special meeting held Thursday afternoon.
Several school personnel were in attendance as the board unanimously voted to bring Simpson to the top chair in the district beginning on July 1 of this year.

Before the final vote of approval, school board member Janna Pierson thanked all the school board members along with Superintendent Terry Simpson and Kay Gammil. Board President Jody Walker also thanked each member’s family for the time they allowed to meet and make what they called the biggest decision this board can make.
