For the upcoming summer months, people will be pulling out their lawn chairs and jam to music while enjoying food and taking in vendors. Red Brick Nights is here.
The first event was on Saturday evening at the intersection of Wentz St. and Oklahoma Ave. People began lining the streets to shop with pop up tents and taking in some good eating with food trucks.
“We want Red Brick Nights to do is be an opportunity for people in our community and people from other communities to come and experience Guthrie,” local businessman and emcee James Long said.
The music started at 7 p.m. with Young Weather and was followed up with Student Film and Beau Jennings and The Tigers.
The Double Stop Fiddle Shop building served as the back drop.
The next event is set for June 4 with music guests Kylie Reid and The Low Swinging Chariots, Olivero and Gabriel Hancock.
“Every single month we’ll have some of the best musicians in Oklahoma,” Justin Fortney said who helps book the musical talent.
The event is always searching for additional vendors. For more information email the Guthrie Chamber at [email protected].
