An Enid man was transported to a Oklahoma City hosptial on Friday evening after he reportedly popped a wheelie and landed backwards.
Just before 6 p.m., emergency crews responded north of the intersection of State Highway 33 on State Highway 74 for a single motorcycle accident.
Before crews could arrive, motorists, including a nurse, could be seen surrounding the man and rendering care.
According to a crash report, Evan Downey, 35, of Enid, was driving a 2016 Ducati Hypermotard northbound on SH-74 when he popped a wheelie and lost control resulting in him falling backwards.
The man was transported to to Saint Anthony’s in Oklahoma City by Guthrie EMS. He was admitted in good condition with leg injuries.
Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol list the cause of collision as “reckless driving.”
