Driver admitted to hospital after driving into a house

An Edmond man was admitted into an Oklahoma City hospital Tuesday evening after driving into a house in southern Logan County.

Emergency crews responded to the 10000 block of Pine Ridge Road, near Waterloo Road and Pennsylvania Ave., just before 7 p.m. with a report of a vehicle that had driven into a residence.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 56-year-old man suffered a medical incident causing his 2019 Nissan Versa to depart the roadway and into a house.

The man was transported to Mercy Hospital and admitted in good condition for an unrelated medical issue.

The home suffered significant damage on the exterior from the impact, including a busted window and numerous bricks.
