American Red Cross Open House set for June 2

The American Red Cross is hosting an Open House event at their office in Guthrie on June 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This is an opportunity for current volunteers, new volunteers and anyone else interested in learning more about the Red Cross and the opportunities available in our organization.

“The Red Cross (located at 219 South Second Street) mobilizes the power of volunteers to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies,” said Executive Director Kara Walters.

“We could have just the opportunity you’re looking for—from training to respond to disasters to supporting a blood drive—from delivering messages to members of our military to connecting families displaced by conflict. Red Cross volunteers are united by their service and the feeling that in changing others’ lives, their lives are also changed.”
