Annual downtown trick-or-treat set for Halloween

The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce and merchants in the historical district will be dishing out candy and prizes to children for the annual downtown trick-or-treat.

The downtown trick-or-treating will be held between 4 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

The streets in the downtown area will be blocked off for safety beginning at 2 p.m. The Guthrie Police Department is requesting motorists plan alternate routes around the downtown area to avoid traffic congestion due to the closed streets.

Public parking near the downtown area can be found in parking lots in the 400 block of W. Oklahoma, 200 block S. 2nd, 100 block of E. Harrison and along adjacent streets.
