In a troubling incident, around thirty cats were found abandoned in crates at the intersection of Industrial Road and Bachus Road. The cats, ranging in age from newborns to adults, were discovered moments ago, prompting an urgent call for assistance from the community.
The cats are now in the care of Helping Community Paws and Claws, a local nonprofit organization run by Lisa New. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is assisting by transporting the animals. This nonprofit organization, known for its dedication to animal welfare, is seeking immediate help to provide for the sudden influx of cats.
“Please I can’t do this by myself, HELP,” New said just before 6 p.m. Sunday.
Donations of food, bedding, and other supplies, as well as monetary contributions, are greatly needed to support the care of these cats.
Community members who wish to help can contact Helping Community Paws and Claws Facebook Messenger.
