Ash Street Place Assisted Living earns national quality award for Commitment to Excellence

Ash Street Place Assisted Living has been recognized as a 2026 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

The national recognition honors long-term and post-acute care providers that demonstrate a commitment to improving the quality of care and quality of life for the residents they serve. The Bronze award is the first of three progressive levels in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program.

“It is a great honor to be recognized for our commitment to delivering quality care,” said Amber Medeiros, administrator of Ash Street Place Assisted Living. “Going through the process of achieving the Bronze award has made our organization stronger.”

The National Quality Award Program follows a rigorous three-level evaluation process based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework, a nationally recognized set of standards designed to help organizations achieve superior performance and continuous improvement.

At the Bronze level, organizations develop a detailed profile outlining their mission, vision, customer base, strengths, and opportunities for growth. The process is designed to help facilities strengthen operations while enhancing outcomes for residents and staff.

“Earning the Bronze Quality Award reflects a strong commitment to continuous improvement and delivering quality care every day,” said AHCA/NCAL President and CEO Clif Porter. “Congratulations to this year’s recipients for taking this important step in the quality journey. We are excited to see all they will accomplish in the years ahead.”

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. Since its inception in 1996, more than 8,000 providers nationwide have participated in the Baldrige-based program aimed at improving quality care and organizational performance.

Ash Street Place Assisted Living is a locally owned and operated facility located at 111 S. Ash Street in Guthrie. The facility offers a home-like environment with studio apartments, restaurant-style dining, and supportive care services for seniors.

The award recipients will be recognized during the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, Delivering Solutions 26, scheduled for Oct. 11-14 in Boston, Massachusetts.
