Bluejays makes the most of 7 hits in 3-1 victory over Chandler

Bluejays and Chandler each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but Bluejays capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-1 win at Squires.

Guthrie Baseball LogoChandler got eight hits compared with just seven for Bluejays, but Chandler stranded eight on base.

Bluejays would not relinquish the lead as Chandler was unable to weather a three-run fifth inning deficit.

Chandler scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by Skyler Johnson. Still, Chandler couldn’t catch Bluejays.

Jacob Chappell had three extra-base hits for Bluejays. He tripled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and homered in the fifth inning.

Bluejays never trailed after scoring one run in the first on a groundout by Donovan Jordan.

Bluejays got one-run rallies in the third inning and the fifth. In the third, Bluejays scored on an RBI single by Reed Roberts, scoring Jacob.

The sixth inning saw Chandler score its only run on the day on an RBI single by Skyler.
