The Guthrie Public School’s Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday afternoon. The board is expected to consider a teacher’s resignation after an executive session.
The board will meet at 4 p.m. inside the district’s Administration Building.
Board members will first recommend and reorganize their positions, including president, first vice-president, second vice-president, board clerk and deputy board clerk.
The executive session is planned for the purpose of discussing the resignation agreement of Patricia Catlin. Afterwards, they will consider action to accept her resignation.
Catlin, a special education teacher, was charged last week for assault and battery upon a special needs student. The incident is reported to have happen in January. Related story: Court papers: Teacher denies assault on special needs student
