A female juvenile was taken into custody Tuesday evening after the Guthrie Fire Department responded to a car fire on the east side of town.

The fire department responded to the intersection of Ray Pl. and Industrial, located just east of the intersection of Pine and Industrial, for an abandoned car fire shortly after 7 p.m. When fire crews arrived the vehicle was engulfed with flames.
After a brief investigation, authorities found the four-door, black Saturn to be stolen and two hours later the juvenile was arrested for the stolen vehicle.
Investigators said the fire was caused by mechanical issues in the engine shortly after the car was taken.
