Motorcycle pushed several yards by car on S. Division

In one of the most unusual traffic accidents on S. Division, a motorcyclist was rear-ended and then pulled along for several yards on Saturday morning. One person was arrested following the accident.

At 11:31 a.m., emergency crews responded to the 3800 block of S. Division for a motorcycle-vehicle accident. As crews arrived, a man was found on the side of the road surrounded by other motorists, who were assisting the male victim.

According to witnesses, a 2005 gray Buick and a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle were traveling northbound when the Buick ran into the motorcycle.

The impact caused the motorcycle’s back wheel and tire to engage under the car. From there, the vehicle pushed the motorcycle for several yards (estimated 25 yards) before coming to a stop in the roadway.
