The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a driver who rolled a vehicle on Monday morning sparking a grass fire in far eastern Logan County.
Emergency crews responded three-fourths of a mile north of Pottawatomie Road and Sorghum Mill Road at approximately 5:15 a.m. Sheriff officials say they found a vehicle that had rolled over, caught fire and set a nearby pasture on fire.
Seven fire departments from Logan, Oklahoma and Lincoln counties responded to extinguish the fire. Fire crews battled high winds and needed a couple of hours to gain control of the blaze.
Sheriff officials say the driver took off from the area before deputies arrived to the scene.
