Car seat check and distribution event scheduled for Guthrie

As part of Child Passenger Safety Week, Safe Kids Oklahoma and the Logan County Health Department are sponsoring a car seat check-up event on Thursday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Guthrie Fire Station (209 East Springer).

During this event, parents and caregivers will be taught by Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians on how to properly secure their child in the vehicle.  A limited number of car seats will be available to eligible families for $10 while supplies last.

To qualify for a car seat:

·         Please bring proof of assistance (WIC, TANF, etc.).

·         You must be the legal guardian of the child.

·         Child must be present or within 8 weeks of due date.

·         Please arrive in the vehicle you most often transport your child in.

·         Early arrival is suggested.
