Guthrie Public Schools recognized their November Support and Certified Employees of the Month.
The Support Employee of the Month is Fred Causley (pictured above), who works for the Operations Department for the district. He was nominated by Maintenance Director Cody Thompson.
Causley also serves as the district’s HVAC contractor.
“Because he has his contractor’s license (we have) made a tremendous difference in how we are meeting the needs of all our sites involving our HVAC needs,” Thompson said.
Thompson added, “We can now replace, make repairs and adjustments to any HVAC unit without having to call an outside vendor. This saves time and cost.”
The Certified Employee of the Month is Cotteral Principal Scot Graham (pictured below). He was nominated by Fogarty Principal Marsha Todd.
Todd says the school district has gone through major changes over the past year and help leading the way has been Graham.
“This year, Scot has started each week with a positive early morning text message and continued motivation throughout the week,” Todd said.
She added that Graham always makes a positive out of what could have easily been a negative.
The Guthrie Lions Club presented a plaque to the recipients and Sonic at I-35 and Highway 33 donated a $25 Sonic gift card.
