Are you ready for the 4th of July? We receive lots of phone calls from out of towner’s looking for something to do during this holiday. This year the downtown merchants are going to have a sidewalk sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday the fourth. We encourage folks to come shop and eat then head to Crescent or Edmond for their fireworks displays.
Next Saturday, July 5th folks and cars will be gathering uptown on First Street between Harrison and Oklahoma Avenue from 5-7 p.m. If you grew up in Guthrie prior to 1980 you know what Draggin Main is and means. This tradition was started by Brent Stockwell and is in its fifth year of popularity. So dust off the chevy and come out on the 5th to hang with some old classmates that have been out of town for a while. Once everyone has caught up the Draggin will begin! Next week’s Chamber Coffee will be hosted by A&D Sports and Antique Memories at 115 W. Harrison. The coffees are very casual, and normally no longer than thirty minutes long, we begin at 9:30.
