Hello! Wednesday, Feb. 25, weather permitting, at noon we have scheduled a planning session for our Leader Development Group called G²-Growing Guthrie Leadership, to meet and discuss future plans for a long term program and goals. We envision this group developing leadership skills, gleaning knowledge from elders in our community, then combining their knowledge and sharing it with our High School and Jr. High students to help them become the future Leaders of Guthrie.
We hope this will create multiple benefits to our community. Keeping and bringing back our graduates once they finish High School/College, having a workforce to support our businesses and entrepreneurs to create new business. So many times our youth feel there is nothing here for them once they graduate High School or College. We want them to know Guthrie is a great place to not only live, but to work and operate a business. Watch for our new G² program to begin with a weekly lunchtime leadership development session. If you are between the age of 20 and 40 you are invited to attend.
