Hello! I hope you are having a great week! Please join The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce as we conduct a Candidate Forum for the Mayoral and City Council Candidates. Come with your questions and get answers. Learn what each candidate stands for so that you can make an informed choice for your representatives.  This forum will be held in the Guthrie High School Cafeteria, this coming Monday, March 23rd from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.  A Special Thanks to Dr. Simpson and The Guthrie Public Schools for making the High School Cafeteria available for the Forum. 200 Crooks Drive, Guthrie, OK.

The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce will be unveiling a new Leadership Development Program next month; “The LLR leadership development program is the most comprehensive and impactful course on the market today.  Here are some topics: Values, Vision, Attitude, Professionalism, Employee Initiative, Employee Engagement, Interpersonal Skills, Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Teamwork, Conflict Resolution, Adaptability, Self Confidence. Environmental Management specializes in the proper cost-effective management of hazardous material and industrial wastes on a nationwide basis. Primary services include emergency response, site remediation, routine waste management, treatment, disposal and transportation. Additional services include sampling, training, environmental auditing, asbestos transport and disposal, industrial safety and rescue, chemical explosive management, UST removal and hydrology. Other services include hazardous material treatment for hazardous waste from a conditional exempt small quantity generator (CESQG) and non-hazardous waste, proper management, processing, treatment and/or recycling of product distribution inventory, as well as outdated or off-spec products. The big deal out of all of this is they have a product distribution program. They have lots of different items they give away; light bulbs and paint are just a few of the items available. This week’s Lenten Luncheon will be hosted by Noble Avenue Baptist Church with speaker Mike DeMoss giving the message, Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

March 28th from 5pm to 7pm at the Guthrie Upper Elementary Cafeteria the Guthrie Special Olympics will have their annual fundraiser. The ticket gets you in a drawing for 14 cash prizes or one grand prize your choice of a Z425 Zero Turn Mower or 6×8 Slope Top Storm Shelter by Red Dirt Septic and Hausner’s Precast or $2K.
