Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were fantastic. The local Girl Scout chapter will have cookies in their hands on the 31 of January! Mentors train the girls on how to sell their cookies prior to the cookies arrival. If you would like the girls to bring cookies to your business just give Diane a call at 620-3656. They will be set up on the corner of Harrison and Division beginning the 20th of February.

The Lazy E is hosting the annual Kicker Arena Cross Nationals and Mud Bog Show, January 17 and 18. You can purchase tickets online at lazye.com

The Annual Awards Banquet for the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce is set for Thursday, March 12th from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Guthrie Job Corps Center. Citizen, Volunteer and Business of 2014 will be revealed during the banquet! The Guthrie Job Corps Center hosts this event for the Guthrie Chamber every year, the food and service is always exceptional. Tickets are available for $35 per person or $250 for a Corporate Table.

Friday, January 16 from 6pm to 8pm God’s Food Bank is having their annual fundraiser. They will be serving Chili, Beans and Cornbread with sweets. They will also have a silent auction; tickets are available at the First Presbyterian Fellowship Hall the day of the event.

Martin Luther King Day is approaching, the 19th of January. The Parade will start at the Scottish Rite Temple and end at the Santa Fe Depot. A reception will be held at the Logan County Fairgrounds after the parade. Everyone is welcome to attend! If you would like to be in the parade contact Hersey Hammonds at 760-4285 for a parade form.

The Chamber Coffee is a great way to network and meet new people. Next week’s Chamber Coffee, January 14 will be hosted by the YMCA! They are located at 114 E. Oklahoma in the heart of downtown Guthrie! I hope you have a warm week!
