Chamber Chat: Tickets available for Sports Historian of the Year luncheon

Hello! There are two events this weekend in Guthrie. Friday, the Guthrie High School FFA will have their Pork Chop Dinner and Auction from 6 to 8 pm at the Logan County Fairgrounds. Friday and Saturday the Lazy E is hosting the Monster Truck  & Tractor Pull Winter Nationals, to purchase tickets call 282-RIDE or go online to www.lazye.com. 

Relay for Life is having their annual Chili Cook-off, this year it will be March 7th at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall at 6pm, serving will start at 6:30 pm. Get your tickets now for the Sports Historian of the Year luncheon to be held at the Territorial Capital Sports Museum. Edgar L. Frost author of Port Robertson: Behind the Scenes of Sooner Sports will be honored. The luncheon is February 11th from 11:30 to 1 pm. Call 405-260-1342 or 414-1342 to reserve seats or tables.

CPR & First Aid Classes have been scheduled for 2015; March 6, June 5, September 11 and December 4. All classes are from 9 am to 3:30 pm at the Guthrie Housing Authority, 1524 East Perkins. You must enroll in the class by calling 405-282-3485 or emailing HeatherW@Health.ok.gov.

February 14, The Pollard Theatre has set up a Valentines Dinner and Dance in the ballroom of the Sand Plum Event Center.  Dance to “The Notes” and dine the night away for only $60 per person. Guthrie Haunts Scaregrounds is at it again! Friday and Saturday, February 13th and 14th they are going to have a “My Vexed Valentine.”  From 7 pm to 11 pm with a $10 admission you can witness a Zombie Wedding, a Tunnel of Love, Shotgun Wedding and a Necro morgue with lots of other interactive things.  For more information you can go to the Guthrie Haunts Facebook page or call 243-7671 or just show up at 4524 Riverside Circle.
