The Board of County Commissioners will meet Thursday morning inside the Courthouse Annex. The posted agenda includes discussion of the county’s estimate of needs and seeking a halt in injection well operations.
District 1 Commissioner Marven Goodman requested discussion and possible action to adopt a resolution officially requesting the Oklahoma Corporation Commission to temporarily suspend all salt water disposal injection well operations within Logan County.
The suspension is being requested until such time as a proper geological survey and seismic study can be conducted at depth.
Commissioners and other elected county officials will possibly take action on delivering their estimate of needs for each office for the upcoming fiscal year. Once finalized, it will be delivered to the County Excise Board for review.
The meeting is set for 9 a.m.
