Logan County saw an increase in sales tax collections for the month of April.
In April, the county collected a total of $241,831.02 to be distributed to maintain roads and bridges, jail operations and maintenance and 13 rural fire departments.
One-thirds of the collections results in $80,610.34 that will go toward the jail operations, $80,610.34 will be split evenly in three ways to the county commissioners ($26,870.11 each) for their district’s roads and bridges and the final $80,610.34 will be spread out to the 13 fire departments ($6,200.79 each).
The Oklahoma Tax Commission delivered the third payment of the year.
March collections recorded the lowest of the three payments from the Oklahoma Tax Commission in the amount of $228,884.45.
So far in 2015, the county has received $753,539.55 in tax revenue.
The first payment in February brought in $282,824.08 for the county.
The Logan County sales tax passed 58.1 percent to 41.9 percent (1,979-1,426) which included a 10-year sunset clause.
