Crash on SH-74 claims a life

An early morning vehicle accident on Tuesday morning claimed the life of a 43-year-old man.

According to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Andrew Anderson, of Oklahoma City, died from his injuries involving two vehicles.

The incident occurred at 6:20 a.m. on State Highway 74, one half mile north of Charter Oak Road.

Anderson was driving a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria. He was transported to OU Medical Center and was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

The driver of the 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, identified as 21-year-old Luis Martinez, of Guthrie, was not injured.

The report gives the cause of the collision as “under investigation” and does not reveal any additional information.

The roadway was blocked for nearly three hours.
