Crescent motorcyclist airlifted in a single-vehicle crash

A Crescent man was admitted to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition after losing control of his motorcycle.

Guthrie EMS, Heartland Medical Direction, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash at 1:19 a.m. on State Highway 77 south of 74C.

Troopers report Matthew Gore, 26, of Crescent was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson northbound on SH-77 at a speed too great to negotiate a curve. A report states Gore departed the roadway to the left, reentered the road, then rolled an unknown number of times coming to rest in the ditch to the left.

Survival Flight transported him to OU Medical Center with head injuries.

Troopers report an odor of alcohol as the condition of the driver and excessive speed as the cause of the collision.

Gore was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to OHP.
