Cross Country team takes first in Lindsay

The Guthrie boys cross country team dominated the field over the weekend en route to winning the Lindsay Invitational. The Lady Jays captured sixth overall.

Brandon GreenleeThe BlueJays sprinted five runners into the top 10 to claim a low score of 17 points. Next in line was Lindsay (76) and Hinton (95).

The top-performer for the royal blue and white was Brandon Greenlee, who was .09 behind Jones’ Tyler Stevens. Stevens crossed at the 17.45 mark.

Sean Harvey was not too far behind for a third place finish and followed by Ryan McIntire’s sixth place finish, Tommy Beauchamp in eighth and Hunter Stephens coming in at ninth.

Also running for the Jays were Conner Self and Dakota Pruitt, who finished 19th and 21st overall.

For the Lady Jays, they were paced by Lexi Hastings, who ran the course in a time of 13.11 to finish fourth overall.

Lauren Toney just missed out on the top 10 with an 11th place finish with a time of 13.53. Aylin Paez (14.56), Kori Staley (16.23) and Alex Griffin (17.55) helped aid the team to a sixth place finish. Jones took the team title.
