The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce and merchants in and around the historical district will again be giving out candy and prizes to children who are trick or treating.
The downtown trick-or-treating will be held between 4 – 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31.
Once again this year, streets in the downtown area will be blocked off for safety 30 minutes prior to the start. The Guthrie Police Department is requesting motorists plan alternate routes around the downtown area to avoid traffic congestion due to closed streets.
Public parking near the downtown area can be found in parking lots in the 400 block of W. Oklahoma, 200 block S. 2nd, 100 block of E. Harrison and along adjacent streets.
