The Oklahoma Department of Transportation will be making repairs in the westbound lane of the viaduct on Wednesday.
Traffic will not be completely shut down, but will be delayed on Highway 33 (Noble Ave.).
ODOT crew members arrived just before 8 a.m.
A temporary metal plate was seen covering the hole.
In August, the viaduct was shut down to one lane on two separate occasions as crews fixed holes in the bridge.
The project is expected to go throughout the afternoon. ODOT officials are hopeful to be completed before the end of the school day.
