Hot beverage sales to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for National Coffee Day

OKLAHOMA CITY – Love’s Travel Stops (Love’s) is giving customers a great reason to fill up on their favorite hot beverage for National Coffee Day. $1 of every 24 oz. coffee or cappuccino sold at more than 390 Love’s locations nationwide will go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in that community. The promotion begins on National Coffee Day, Thursday, Sept. 29, and lasts through Friday, Sept. 30.

The stores in Guthrie are participating to help raise money for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“Love’s Travel Stops has supported Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for 18 years and every year our store teams do an outstanding job raising funds for this noble cause,” said Jenny Love Meyer, vice president of communications for Love’s. “On average, we sell more than 57,000 cups of coffee per day. Giving a portion of the proceeds from two days’ worth of coffee sales is another way we, and our Customers, can contribute more dollars to hospitals that perform life-saving miracles daily.”

For a limited time, customers can enjoy the Guatemalan Highland coffee brew, as well as Love’s signature house, dark roast, Brazilian and decaffeinated brews. Customers can also fill up with pumpkin spice cappuccino for a limited time. French vanilla, sugar-free caramel pecan, white chocolate and cocoa blends of cappuccino are also available. The cost of a 24 oz. coffee or cappuccino is $1.89.

Love’s annual campaign to raise funds for CMN Hospitals began on August 26. Donations collected at more than 390 Love’s locations across 40 states go to the partner hospital in that community to help local children. Customers can support their local hospitals through September 30 by purchasing a CMN Hospitals Miracle Balloon for $1, $5 or $20. Many stores still have events like cookouts, golf tournaments, yard sales and more scheduled to help bring in additional donations. Love’s is more than halfway to its 2016 store campaign goal of $2.3 million.

Since 1998, Love’s has raised more than $14 million for the nonprofit. Of the 170 CMN Hospitals members throughout North America, 99 benefit from Love’s annual campaign.
