Early morning earthquake rattles homes

It had been a while since Logan County had rattled from below, but that changed Wednesday morning.

The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.5 earthquake at 4:01 a.m.

The epicenter was recorded east of Meridian and just south SH-105 in Logan County at five miles below the surface.

Many describe the event as a grumbling sound before the vibration of the quake.

No immediate damage was reported in the surrounding area.
