The Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation have made another arrest in the death of Shawn Masters. The latest arrest now brings a total of eight into custody.
Masters was found murdered in Logan County on January 31, 2014.
John Worchester, 39,was arrested in the 1500 Block of Douglas Avenue in Oklahoma City at approximately 12:30 today.
Worchester is the eighth and final outstanding suspect in this investigation. Worchester was taken to the Oklahoma County Jail on a charge of first degree murder in the death of Masters.
This latest arrest was accomplished through the expert assistance of the United States Marshal’s Service Fugitive Task Force and the Oklahoma City Police Department Gang Unit.
“The Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are grateful for the assistance of these two elite units in apprehending Worchester and for their on-going assistance in dangerous apprehensions like this one,” Chief Deputy Richard Stephens said.
“It is critical to these cases to make the apprehensions as quickly and safely as possible.”
