Fallen deputy’s funeral arrangements set

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Logan County deputy who suffered a heart attack on duty and later died.

Jason Wright, 33, will be laid to rest on Thursday in Guthrie. The service is set for 2:03 p.m. at Generations Church (2524 W. Noble). Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery.

Wright’s family members are part of the Red Dirt Jeeps, a charity club, and have requested the community to take hand-held flags and line the streets in support. Along with the presence of law enforcement, the Jeep club is expected to have up to 100 jeeps in the convoy to the graveside.

If you would like to show your support, many citizens are expected to line up along Noble Ave. beginning around 2:45 p.m. to view the escort to the cemetery.
