A tragic collision in Logan County occurred on May 21 resulting in one fatality and several injuries. The accident took place at approximately 9:42 p.m. on OK-74 southbound, one mile south of OK-51, about four miles south of Marshall.
The vehicle involved, a 2009 Honda Pilot, was driven by Kenty Alik, a 61-year-old male from Oklahoma City. He was transported by Miller EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was treated for his injuries and subsequently released.
The five passengers in the vehicle ranged from 61 to 18 years of age, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Bajin Alik, whose age is unknown, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Miller EMS due to head injuries. His body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Oklahoma City.
The four other passengers were transported to OU Medical Center and were treated and released.
The cause of the collision and the condition of the driver at the time of the accident are currently under investigation. Authorities are also examining whether seatbelts were in use.
OHP is working to determine the circumstances that led to this fatal incident. More information will be released as it becomes available.
