The Guthrie High School drama students attended the OSSAA Regional Speech and Drama tournament at Rose State University last Friday and Saturday.
The Humorous Duet duo of Austin Oliver and Wyatt Conner took third overall and qualified for State on April 13th and 14th. Oliver also qualified in Dramatic Interp.
Others earning the right to compete at regionals were the Dramatic Duet of Dallas Jones and Jovanna Ortega, the Humourous Duet of Hannah Dudeck and Jamie Hurren, the Humorous Duet of Dakota Rollins and Jake Nichols, and Wyatt Conner in Poetry.
Drama teacher Shelley Berryman stated, “I’m very proud of how we did at regionals in a very competitive field. I am excited for Wyatt and Austin. Their hard work is paying off.”
