Lady Jays head softball coach Lee Linsenmeyer has announced upcoming dates for the softball program, including a camp and booster club meeting.
Linsenmeyer announced the Lady Jays Softball Camp will be held over three days for girls in the grades between first and eighth.
The camp will begin on May 22 at 3:30 and will run until 5:30. The two following days (May 23 and 24) will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the high school softball field.
The cost is $40 and can be paid on the first day of camp.
Athletes will work on sliding, base running, fielding, hitting and all the fundamentals of the game.
Linsenmeyer urges all to attend and that players do not have to be skilled to participate.
The Softball Booster Club (high school and junior high) will have a meeting at the softball field, located behind Guthrie Upper Elementary School, on May 22 at 6:30 p.m. Any athlete that plans on playing next year needs to be in attendance with their parents or guardians.
