Golden Chick harnesses culture of excellence

To drive home its mission of always striving to better serve customers, the Guthrie Golden Chick restaurant was chosen to be apart of the brands’ Nationally Certified Training Program. The location at 2621 E Highway 33 has been one of the brands’ top ten-rated restaurants annually.

Golden Chick recently launched this training program, inviting established restaurants to become the official training sites for new franchisees and general managers. Challenging these selected locations and their leaders to become recertified ensures uniform training and enhances the overall customer experience across the brand.

The general manager of the Guthrie location, Lula Manderscheid, has been with Golden Chick for over eight years and continues to impress with her steadfast efforts and initiatives in the local community. Exemplifying the traits of a natural-born leader and outstanding trainer, Manderscheid rose to the challenge set forth by the Golden Chick executive leadership team to become recertified as an official training location.

“This unique program created by Golden Chick holistically expands on our culture of excellence by supporting already thriving restaurants and giving new locations the inside knowledge on how to succeed,” said Mark Parmerlee, president and chairman of Golden Chick. “We have seen Manderscheid rise to the occasion year after year, exhibiting true dedication to her team and customers in the community. This is the ideal restaurant and management team to help lead the way for new restaurants and help them be of a similar caliber.”

The Guthrie restaurant joins other Nationally Certified Training Restaurants in Hondo, Plano and Houston, making it the fourth location to provide training to new general managers.
