Guthrie Public Schools will be in distance learning on Friday, February 26 so all staff indicating a desire to receive a COVID vaccine may do so.
“This is a welcome announcement for our staff and community,” Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson said in a release. “Providing this for our staff is another step toward a return to normal.”
A similar distance learning day is also scheduled for March 26.
Grab and go meals for anyone 18 and under will be available at Cotteral, Central and Charter Oak Elementary Schools.
“Doing this in one single day allows us to minimize disruption to instruction and allows our staff the opportunity to receive the shot in a timely manner,” Simpson concluded with.
